Workshop Title: |
Human Factors Issues in Imagery Analysis using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (preceded by Human Factors Issues in Combat Identification May 13-14, 2008)
Dates: |
May 14-15, 2008 |
Location: |
The Gold Canyon Golf Resort – Gold
Canyon, AZ |
Objective: |
The objective of this workshop was to unite the human factors research community with the UAV operational community and UAV developers to identify the critical human factors challenges associated with UAV sensor and imagery analysis and provide a venue for disseminating peer-reviewed research results in this growing area. This year, in addition to research papers focusing on human factors issues pertinent to imagery analysis in UAVs, we were also interested in hearing perspectives from operators, designers, and human factors researchers involved in the imagery analysis in other domains (e.g., baggage screening, laparoscopic surgery, and casino security).
